Because You deserve unwavering support
Here’s what you can expect…

Birthing our children is one of most intense, life-changing things we will ever do. You deserve unwavering support through that journey. I'm here to walk alongside of you, every step of the way.
So why a doula?
Well, let’s start with the evidence-based facts: “There have been 26 randomized trials that tested the effects of continuous labor support on more than 15,000 people giving birth. Overall, people who receive continuous support are more likely to have a normal vaginal birth and less likely to have pain medication, negative feelings about childbirth, and Cesareans.”
But doula support goes beyond statistics. It goes to the very heart and soul of birth. Having a doula by your side means someone to be a witness to your strength, a constant support in what can often be a changing landscape of nurses, midwives, and doctors. It is bold, wild confidence in you, even when you are unsure. I see the intensity in your face that says it’s time to call the midwife. I hear the catch in your breath when you start to feel the urge to push. I feel the way your shoulders melt when I place my hands on you. Birth calls me to use all of my senses, as a doula and a mother, to hold sacred space for everything you are about to do.

I enthusiastically attend both hospital and and out-of-hospital births (home births and birth centers). For hospital birthing families, that means I bring with me a deep respect and trust in physiological birth, particularly unmedicated birth, because I see it unfold all the time. For community birthing families, it means that should a hospital transfer be needed, you’ll have someone by your side who knows this system inside and out and can help you make the transition not only a peaceful one, but an empowering one.

PERIOD. Birth preferences are deeply personal, and I will support your choices all day every day. There is no one right way to birth, and I won’t make you feel like there is. I give you evidence-based information about your options, and as you make decisions in pregnancy and labor, I’m right there to cheer you on.

While my experience and education are a valuable part of what I bring to the table, my intuition comes with me, too. I try to think two steps ahead, anticipating your needs and what comes next. (My giant doula bag filled with tools helps with this, too!)

I am well-respected in our local birth community. I’ve been here serving families since 2017, and when we get to your birth space, I’m usually greeted with a quiet smile and quick hug by at least one nurse or midwife. I work closely with other doulas in our area and because of that, I have a strong network of backups, should one be needed for your birth. I believe that teamwork and a sense of respect within your birth team helps you to feel safer and more relaxed.

I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve had three incredible births myself, and those births have shaped me in very real ways. I walk into birth spaces with deep respect for the highs and lows, and an intimate knowledge and remembrance for the intensity that birth often brings. One of my favorite things about this work is that I get to be among mothers all the time, which is especially meaningful as I raise my own babies.
Here’s what I bring to the table:

“The prenatal along with labor and delivery doula services provided by Dallas made my husband and I feel much more comfortable and confident during our first pregnancy and birthing. The hospital team was shocked at how swift and calm our ‘textbook’ delivery progressed. The full labor of 8 hours and 45 minutes including a miraculous 10 minutes of pushing, went so quickly primarily because we had Dallas’ input along the way. Her recommendations for chiropractic care and Spinning Babies inversion exercises aligned my pelvis and positioned our baby girl properly. The Hypnobirthing positive affirmation tracks she lent me washed over me through the ebb and flow of pressure waves. Dallas coached my husband on how they could jointly provide optimal counter pressure to each contraction while maintaining eye contact with me during my breath work to keep my anxiety at bay. Her knowledge and resources equipped us to know what to ask, better understand our options and kept us focused on the next position change ‘after the next contraction.’ Whatever your birth preference – she will do her very best to help you prepare to not only endure but thrive at achieving a safe and healthy birth. Best partnership investment for a smooth, low stress pregnancy and birthing!”
