Jessica is one of the few people who hires me who had a birth photographer and videographer at her first birth! Her wedding photographer had been the one to document the birth of their daughter; how incredible special is that?? When she wasn’t available for baby number two, I was so honored to be asked to fill her shoes.
Jessica let me know that one of the things that was important to her was getting images and a birth film that she would feel comfortable sharing publicly, and for her that meant no nudity. This is such a common request! And it’s one of the reasons that some clients specifically choose me: I like to shoot in a way that is authentic to each client, and if modesty is a goal of theirs, I make it my goal, too. Their Christian faith is the foundation of their lives, and this birth was no different. She listened to worship music and meditated on scripture in early labor and praised God when her baby was born. And so I chose a song for their birth film that reflected their faith, as well as the strength and love it took to bring their son into the world.
